Education & Experiences
REGENERATING WATER ALSO MEANS
REGENERATING RELATIONSHIPS.
We believe that transforming ecosystems also depends on how we connect with them.
That is why education is part of every territory where we work.
More than sharing knowledge, we seek to spark curiosity,
strengthen a sense of belonging, and cultivate a deeper culture of water.
Because we cannot care for what we do not know.

A CULTURE OF WATER
Water is present in our cities, in our bodies, and in our stories.
And yet, it often goes unnoticed.
Building a culture of water means making visible the processes, species, and relationships that sustain life.
It means helping people understand that rivers, lakes, bays, and oceans are more than landscapes.
They are living systems we are part of.

LEARNING FROM WATER
Water teaches us in different ways.
Through its cycles.
Through its species.
Through the transformations unfolding silently beneath the surface.
Every territory offers an opportunity to listen, observe, and discover.
That is why Infinito Mare creates experiences, educational initiatives,
and learning journeys that bring science, territories, culture, and people closer together.
From a child’s first discovery to deeper learning for professionals
and leaders, we create different pathways to understand water
and build new relationships of care with it.
CARAVELA EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE
Water as an experience
The Caravela Experience invites people to experience up close the processes of regeneration unfolding
beneath the surface of the water.
More than a visit, it is an encounter with ecosystems,
with biodiversity, and with the stories each territory has to tell.
By bringing science, nature, and experience closer together, the Caravela turns knowledge into lived experience and inspires new ways of connecting with water.

The Caravela Experience strengthens:
sense of belonging
collaboration
environmental awareness
scientific literacy
connection to the territory
a culture of water

EDUCATE
WATER AS A PATH
TO DISCOVERY.
Experience sparks curiosity.
Education takes us further.
Our educational initiatives begin with the water itself, the territory,
and the discoveries made through the Caravela,
bringing children and young people closer to science and nature.
No two educational experiences are alike.
Each activity is shaped by the characteristics
of the territory, the learnings from the Caravela’s operation,
and the people we hope to connect with that water.
Observation, investigation, citizen science, storytelling,
experimentation, and creativity come together to translate
complex subjects into accessible experiences
rooted in the reality of each place.
More than sharing knowledge, we want to inspire
new questions and strengthen the understanding that everyone
is also part of that living system.
Science provides direction.
Curiosity leads the way.
The territory gives it meaning.

BRING THE CARAVELA
TO YOUR SCHOOL.
What if the waters of your territory could become part of the classroom?
Infinito Mare develops ecopedagogical initiatives for schools, social projects, and educational institutions, bringing children and young people closer to water science through hands-on, meaningful experiences rooted in each place.
Activities are designed according to the age group, the territory’s context, and educational goals, and may build on an existing Caravela operation or take forms specially developed for the school.
Biodiversity, microscopy, citizen science, water, climate, circularity, culture, and territory can become pathways to investigate,
experiment, and learn.
The Caravela brings water science closer.
Education takes that discovery further.
MEET SUVACO
OUR WATER
AMBASSADOR.

Because every body of water holds stories.
And Suvaco loves discovering them.
Suvaco wasn't born in a book.
He's real.
Curious by nature, this little dog has inspired
many stories and found in water
a whole new world to explore.
As Infinito Mare's Water Ambassador,
Suvaco introduces children to Ocean Literacy
and a culture of water, sparking curiosity about
biodiversity, science, and aquatic ecosystems.
Through stories, discoveries, and imagination,
subjects such as pollution, regeneration, care, and belonging
become accessible and meaningful to young minds.
His first adventure with Infinito Mare began
at Pampulha Lake. In Suvaco and the Secret of Pampulha,
discoveries from the Caravela's operation become
a story for little explorers.

BLUE CURRICULUM
LEARNING ABOUT WATER.
LEARNING FROM WATER.
The Blue Curriculum seeks to integrate Ocean Literacy into learning processes, connecting the ocean and other bodies of water to different fields of knowledge.
More than teaching subjects related to the sea, it is about understanding how the ocean influences our lives and how our choices influence it in return.
Science, geography, history, art, mathematics, and citizenship can all find in water new pathways to explore, connect, and learn.
Water becomes more than a subject to study.
It becomes a way to connect knowledge.
BRAZIL IS PAVING
THE WAY.
In 2025, Brazil became the first country in the world recognized
by UNESCO for its commitment to integrating Ocean Literacy into the national school curriculum, known as the Blue Curriculum, while considering different regional and local realities.
A particularly meaningful movement for a country
deeply connected to water, even far from the coast.
Rivers, rainfall, watersheds, climate, food production,
and ways of life are all connected to the ocean.

AND WHERE DOES THE CARAVELA FIT IN?
A LIVING CLASSROOM
ON THE WATER.

The Caravela can serve as an ecopedagogical tool,
bringing the Blue Curriculum closer to real-world experience.
Around it, what might otherwise exist only
in textbooks can be observed as it happens.
Biomass grows. Species appear.
Data is generated. Questions emerge.
A single operation can open pathways to explore
biodiversity, water quality, climate, pollution,
circularity, cities, and connections with the territory.
In this way, the Caravela can also become a learning platform
connected to the real waters of each community.

OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE
A GENERATION
THAT KNOWS ITS WATERS
CAN CARE FOR THEM BETTER.
What if children grew up with a deeper understanding
of the waters that are part of their lives?
The river flowing through the city.
The neighborhood lake. The rain.
The bay. The mangrove. The ocean.
At Infinito Mare, connecting new generations with water
also means preparing them to understand some of the greatest challenges of our time.
Climate. Biodiversity. Cities. Health.
Culture. Territory. Future.
We want to help more children grow up seeing water not merely as a landscape or a resource, but as a living system they are part of.
Children who can observe, question, investigate,
and understand their connection to the territory.
Bringing water into education means connecting a new generation with the territories they will help care for.
LEARN
INFINITO MARE ACADEMY
KNOWLEDGE FOR TRANSFORMATION.
Learning from water doesn't end in childhood.
The environmental challenges of our time call for new perspectives to understand the connections between
water, climate, biodiversity, cities, organizations, and society.
The Infinito Mare Academy is Infinito Mare's space
for learning and deeper exploration of knowledge.
Through courses, gatherings, and learning journeys, we bring professionals, leaders, educators, and students closer to the themes that shape our work and today's environmental challenges.
Science, practice, different perspectives, and lessons learned across territories come together to inspire questions, broaden perspectives, and transform the way we think and act.
KNOWLEDGE THAT BROADENS PERSPECTIVES.
LEARNING THAT CAN TRANSFORM PRACTICES.

A JOURNEY ALREADY UNDERWAY
RETHINKING
SUSTAINABILITY
The Infinito Mare Academy has already held two editions
of its course, Rethinking Sustainability,
a learning journey designed to broaden perspectives
and inspire new reflections on sustainability
and its relationship with organizations, people, and society.
More than introducing concepts, the course creates
a space for exchange, questioning, and developing
new ways of thinking about the challenges
and transformations of our time.
TERRITORIES THAT CONNECT PEOPLE
PERSPECTIVES THAT BROADEN DIALOGUE
IDEAS THAT DRIVE TRANSFORMATION
“It broadened my perspective on current challenges and how I can contribute.” — Student from Cohort 2.
SCIENCE THAT INSPIRES ACTION
“A completely different approach from other courses in the field.” — Student from Cohort 1.
WHAT COMES NEXT.
NEW LEARNING JOURNEYS
ARE TAKING SHAPE.
The Infinito Mare Academy continues to develop new content, gatherings, and learning experiences inspired by the questions that drive us
and the lessons gathered along the way.
New learning journeys are coming soon.
THE LEARNING CONTINUES.
For those who wish to keep exploring the science of water, the Atlantis Library opens new pathways to discover research, connect findings,
and broaden horizons.
EDUCATION IS ALSO
REGENERATION.
An experience may last a few hours.
An operation may continue for months.
But a new way of seeing water can last much longer.
When a child discovers the life
that exists beneath the surface.
When a young person begins to understand water as part of their territory.
When someone broadens their perspective and transforms the way they understand their relationship with the environment.
Knowledge remains.
Curiosity remains.
Connections remain.
And little by little, care becomes more than an idea. It becomes a culture.
Because regenerating water also means cultivating new ways of knowing, belonging, and caring.
