The Brazilian Panel for the Future of the Ocean (PainelMar) has as its fundamental mission to act as a multisectoral collaborative platform for individuals and organizations at the interface of knowledge and decision-making, aimed at qualifying policies for the sustainable use and health of the oceans (Documento-Base PainelMar, October 2015).

Through this, the participating members structured the 'Brazilian Ocean Horizon' (HOB), which aims to leverage and streamline, in the period between 2019 and 2022 (total of 4 years), a collaborative network of professionals to act at the interface between knowledge and strategic public policies aimed at the Coastal and Marine Zone of Brazil, focusing on Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) - Conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

In September 2019, Infinito Mare joined PainelMar with the commitment to contribute to the construction of a promising scenario for the Brazilian environmental reality.

Within the network of actors, Infinito Mare composed the research and action team dedicated to International Policy and Governance, with the aim of understanding Brazil's position in relation to the oceans in the national and international arena.
